— Katie started volunteering at Special Camp in the summer of 2016 and joined Staff in 2019. While on Staff, Katie has served as Relations Coordinator and now joins us for her eighth summer as Operations Coordinator. Katie graduated from JSerra High School in 2020 and now attends Grand Canyon University, studying Government with an emphasis in Legal Studies and minoring in Psychology.

— Kat joined as a camp counselor in 2017 and joined staff in 2019. She served as Counselor Coordinator for her first four years on staff, and this summer she has stepped into the role as Program Coordinator. Kat is a junior at Georgetown University where she studies Nursing.

— Ally started volunteering at Special Camp in the summer of 2017 and served as a Senior Counselor in the summer of 2020. Ally joined the Staff in 2022 as Special Events Coordinator. This summer, Ally will manage the Support Staff in the role of Development Coordinator. Ally graduated from St. Margaret’s in 2021 and is a rising junior at Lafayette College. She is studying to graduate with a major in Psychology and a minor in Government and Law. While at school, Ally is currently working on getting a Best Buddies program on her college campus.

— Ella started volunteering at Special Camp in the summer of 2021. She has recently joined the Staff in 2023, holding the position of Assistant Camper Coordinator. Ella is currently majoring in Psychology at San Diego State University, with plans to pursue a career as an Occupational Therapist. Both her involvement in Special Camp, as well as Best Buddies for over 8 years, have played a huge role in her studies and her career path.

— Dylan joined camp in the summer of 2017 and became a Staff Member in 2022. During that time at camp, Dylan has held the position of Senior Counselor, Assistant Counselor Coordinator and will now serve as Counselor Coordinator. Dylan graduated from OCSA in 2021 and is currently attending New York University where he studies Psychology and Social Entrepreneurship.

— Maia has been involved with Special Camp for four years, being a counselor, senior counselor, and now holds the position of Assistant Counselor Coordinator. Maia graduated from St. Margaret’s in June and currently attends the University of Washington.

— Maddie has been with Special Camp since 2019. During her time with Special Camp, she has served roles such as Counselor, Senior Counselor, and joins Staff this year as the Relations Coordinator. Maddie has had the opportunity to expand her time with Special Camp beyond the summer while she ran the Cheer and Soccer Clinics during the school year. Maddie graduated from St. Margaret’s Episcopal School in 2023. She is studying business at Washington University in St. Louis. Maddie is so excited to continue her time with Special Camp, and looks forward to this summer!

— Catie started volunteering at Special Camp in the summer of 2018 and joined the Staff in 2022. She has served as the Relations Coordinator and Special Events Coordinator while on Staff. She graduated from Mater Dei High School in 2022 and currently attends Tulane University and is majoring in Political Science. Catie can’t wait to continue her role on Staff and looks forward to having an amazing summer.

— Caroline started volunteering for Special Camp in the summer of 2022 where she continues the role as camp photographer. Caroline graduated from St. Margaret’s in 2023 and attends Indiana University where she is majoring in Sports Media and Marketing and works in the IU athletic department on their video media creative team.
